Cooperative Learning Controversies
Cooperative learning is fine, but it takes too much planning time for a teacher and is hard to manage.
Cooperative learning is fine, but it takes too much planning time for a teacher and is hard to manage.
Students do not like groups because they are forced to work with people they do not like.
In most groups, one or two students do all of the work while the rest do nothing.
Students will not learn to live in a competitive world if schools use cooperative learning.
Giving group grades instead of individual grades is fair and effective.
Cooperative learning drags down high-achieving students.
